Ranana Benjamin and Florence Temko Award Nominations Due

The OrigamiUSA Awards Committee would like to remind our members that the deadline for  nominations for the Ranana Benjamin Teaching Award and the Florence Temko "Lone Folder" Award is drawing near. Entries must be sent by email or snail mail by May 15th. 2008 Call for Nominations

The annual election for the Board of Directors of OrigamiUSA will be held at the annual meeting of the members during our convention in June 2008. Proxies will be provided for those unable to attend in person. OrigamiUSA is currently seeking candidates for the six positions that will expire at that time. Read more here.

2007 Holiday Tree created by OrigamiUSA for the American Museum of Natural History

This year's theme was "Fantastic Creatures: Mythic and Real" which was designed to compliment the current exhibit at the museum called "Mythic Creatures." Read more and view photos here.

Web site created to honor the life of V'Ann Cornelius

A Web site has been created by the online presence committee, staff, and Webmaster of OrigamiUSA in memory of our beloved V'Ann Cornelius who passed away on January 8, 2008. Visitors to the site are encouraged to submit their stories, memories and reflections (including images) of V'Ann - just use the "Add a Remembrance/Memory" link at left. You can also comment (via the "Add new comment" button below each post) on other people's postings. V’Ann Cornelius honored by OrigamiUSA, Mingei International Museum

December 28, 2007:
At a gathering held at the Mingei International Museum’s Escondido Facility, OrigamiUSA and the Board of Directors of Mingei announced measures honoring V’Ann Cornelius, a longtime supporter of both organizations, who was also in attendance along with friends and family. Read more here...
