This page contains important information about Convention registration. Please read through it all. Online registration forms are at the bottom.

If you have already registered but would like to add the diagram book and/or T-shirts to your existing registration, use the "Forgot Something" form.

Paid registered attendees will have access to all recorded classes. After Convention is over, others may order recordings of the recorded classes on the Recordings page.

Early Registration

Early registration is essential for our planning purposes. Our pricing schedule therefore encourages early sign-up. On-site registration will be available, though at additional cost.

If you plan to teach a class, we need you to register early so we can plan the class schedule. As in years past, classes are assigned based on your requests and your ticketing priority number; early registration also gets you a low (good!) priority number. See Ticketing for deadlines and eligibility details.

Registration Categories

Most people come to Convention to take classes all three days, of course! But you can come and take classes on just one or two days for a reduced fee, or if you can't attend in person, take just the online classes, or just come as a guardian, aide, or companion of another folder. Please note: all minors must identify a guardian on their registration form.

The six registration categories and prices are below. Book and T-shirt prices are detailed on the Prices page. All book and T-shirts purchases are à la carte. Registrations after June 1 will have an additional $25 fee. Late fees are being waived.

If you register for "Recordings Only," you can order the PDF version of the diagram book on your registration form. For print books and t-shirts (which will be mailed to you), please order them through The Origami Source.

Guardian

  • You can wait in the hospitality area on any of the days your child is registered to attend.
  • You are invited to volunteer on any day of Convention.
  • Price: no charge.

Non-folding guardians of children under 18 may register as a guardian without charge. If a child has two guardians (e.g., the mother on one day, the father on another), both guardians must register separately (and provide their own vaccination certification). No more than two guardians may register for a single child.

An under-18 child must list their one or two guardians on their registration form; conversely, each guardian must list the child(ren) they are acting as guardian for on their own registration form.

Please note that only one guardian at a time may accompany the child in the hospitality area. A guardian may only accompany the child into a classroom if both are registered to attend classes.

Guardians may purchase the diagram book and/or T-shirts on their registration form.

Aide

  • You can accompany your convention attendee in the hospitality area on any of the days they are registered to attend.
  • You are invited to volunteer on any day of Convention.
  • Price: no charge.

Non-folders who are accompanying a person with disabilities may register as an aide without charge. The rules for aides are the same as for guardians above:

  • Only one or two aides may register for the person they are aiding;
  • Aides and the person being aided must list who they're with on their registration forms;
  • Only one aide at a time may accompany the person in the hospitality area;
  • Only folders registered to take classes may enter the classrooms.

Aides may purchase the diagram book and/or T-shirts on their registration form.

Staff

  • You are invited to volunteer on any day of Convention.
  • Price: no charge.

If you are a non-folder who wishes to volunteer at the convention, and is willing to commit to two hours or more per day, please fill out the main registration form, ticking the attendance options box as staff. We will then contact you.
