Description

Dogbane, a fibrous perennial herb native to North America has been used for centuries by indigenous Americans to make ropes, cords, nets, bowstrings, and textiles. In this lecture, I will show how these fibers may be co-opted for Nepalese-style papermaking, and by extension, for origami.
