What are Community Origami Groups and Societies (COGS)?

A Community Origami Group or Society is any origami group, no matter how big or small. There are origami groups in cities all over the world, where people get together to share the love of folding.

How do I find a Community Origami Group or Society?

We try to maintain comprehensive lists of groups here, both domestic and international.

How do I add my group to the COGS listings?

You can create your own listing here. When you have created a listing, you are the “owner” of that listing. Please try to keep it current! Once a year, you will receive an email reminder to review it.

How do I update my group's listing?

Only the owner of the group can update its listing. Go to your group's listing page. You'll see an "Edit" tab. Click on that tab, and you'll be able to change any fields of the listing. When you're ready, click on the "Submit" button at the bottom.

If you received a reminder email, even if nothing needs changing, please click on the Edit tab and then the Submit button; that tells us that you've reviewed and approved it.

Immediately after an update, the listing will be temporarily unpublished (not visible to the general public), until a Community Origami Groups team member can review it; they'll then re-publish it (so that it is visible to all).

If you have any questions, please contact the Community Origami Groups team at community-groups [at] origamiusa.org.

How do I pass ownership of my group to someone else, or take over an existing listing?

If you would like to pass ownership of a group to someone else, or take over an existing group listing, please contact the Community Groups team, at community-groups [at] origamiusa.org.
