The Message Heart, designed and folded by Jannie van Schuylenburg. Paper by Jaciara Grzybowski and Vera Young. See PDF diagrams.

My Pocket Heart, designed in 2013, appears in my booklet “Send a Garland full of wishes” from 2014.

Last April, I was playing with the model, and I found a way to add it to a card without using glue. And in that way, it doubles as a vase on the inside of the card. I was very happy with the result.

Because it was around Mother’s Day, I called it Message Heart and made a video of it for my YouTube channel. Many people love it, I think, because it has had more than 11,000 views. I am complete flabbergasted.

In the link above, you will find PDF diagrams for a variation of the Message Heart. Make many of them and add different sizes to a card, or use them in another way. To learn how to fold the Message Heart with a vase, you can watch the video at the end of this article (or find it by searching for Jannie van Schuylenburg Design on YouTube or using the QR code:

Let me know on YouTube what you think about the video, and if you want, like it and subscribe to my channel. Maybe you have more ideas for videos I could make. Let me know.

Happy folding.
